Colorado has two state songs: The first state song was "Where the Columbines Grow" by A.J. Flynn, which was adopted in 1915.

Colorado is nicknamed the "Centennial State."

Colorado became a state in 1876, 100 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Colorado is nicknamed "Colorful Colorado."
